Chickadee Mug Cake

The Kidlet got this recipe from an issue of Chickadee magazine. We made a round of them for the family the other night and they were a success, with symbol declaring them on par with the ATK recipe we've made at other times.

Ingredients

  • 60mL (¼ C) flour
  • 30mL (2 tbsp) sugar
  • 30mL (2 tbsl) cocoa
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 45mL (3 tbsp) milk
  • 30mL (2 tbsp) oil
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • chocolate chunks or shavings to taste

Directions

  1. Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking powder in a microwaveable mug. Stir thoroughly until mixed.
  2. Add milk, oil, and vanilla. Stir thoroughly until mixed -- no dry spots!
  3. Microwave for 1:35.
  4. Top with chocolate and let stand for 1 minute.

  • rainbow sprinkles to taste
