These are a quick and easy sandwich that the Kidlet seems to think are alright, if not great. We used home-made buns for them (recipe TBW) but they should also work fine with commercial slider buns; the recipe as written calls for "potato buns".
Ham & Cheese Sliders
From the Complete Cookbook for Young Chefs by America's Test Kitchen
Ingredients
- 4 slider rolls, sliced
- 4 slider-sized slices of cheese
- 4 slider-sized slices of ham
- 8 pickle slices
Directions
- Preheat oven (or toaster oven) to 400°F
- Bisect rolls; top each one with ham, two pickles, and cheese
- Bake for 5 minutes and serve
