The Kidlet liked how soft and fluffy these cookies were. I did not. I probably wouldn't bother making them again. There are much butter cookie recipes out there. But I'm glad the Kidlet enjoyed them.
Big Fat Cookies
From Betty Crocker's Cookbook for Boys & Girls
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- ingredients called for on cake mix package
- 100g chocolate chips or chopped milk chocolate
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
- Prepare cake mix as directed except reduce the water by 1/2 c.
- Place large spoonfuls of this slightly thick batter on prepared baking tray. Be sure to place each dollop of batter at least 7cm (~3") apart.
- Top cookies with chocolate chips.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) until edges just being to brown (~8 minutes).
- Let sit on tray for 2 minutes before removing to plate or wire rack to finish cooling.
