Big Fat Cookies

The Kidlet liked how soft and fluffy these cookies were. I did not. I probably wouldn't bother making them again. There are much butter cookie recipes out there. But I'm glad the Kidlet enjoyed them.


Big Fat Cookies

From Betty Crocker's Cookbook for Boys & Girls

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ingredients called for on cake mix package
  • 100g chocolate chips or chopped milk chocolate

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
  2. Prepare cake mix as directed except reduce the water by 1/2 c.
  3. Place large spoonfuls of this slightly thick batter on prepared baking tray. Be sure to place each dollop of batter at least 7cm (~3") apart.
  4. Top cookies with chocolate chips.
  5. Bake at 180°C (350°F) until edges just being to brown (~8 minutes).
  6. Let sit on tray for 2 minutes before removing to plate or wire rack to finish cooling.
